Do your calculators need an email or store my data?

The calculators are built to be checked, not taken on trust:

• Private: the maths runs in your browser. Your inputs and results aren't sent to our servers.
• Ungated: you see the full result without giving an email address.
• Transparent: every formula is shown, and every benchmark links to its source with an as-of date.
• Honest about uncertainty: where the underlying data has a low and a high end, you get a range rather than false precision.
• Shareable: some calculators can create a link that reproduces your inputs, so you can send a scenario to a colleague.

Like the rest of the site, the calculator pages use analytics to record anonymous usage, such as a calculator being started or completed, with results grouped into broad bands rather than your actual figures.

Defaults are there to get you started. Wherever you have your own data, such as conversion rates from GA4, costs per click from Google Ads or click data from Search Console, use it instead; the result will be far more useful.
